Helping deliver the best positive outcomes for children and families.
We’re EPIC, an early childhood intervention service with a proud history that stretches back to 1976. Our guiding philosophy is that every hour of every day is a learning experience for young children. By making the most of every hour, every day can be used to support children’s development and maximise their learning and participation, both in the home and the community.
In addition to supporting children and families for over 40 years, EPIC plays a significant role in helping early childhood and allied health professionals.
Unlike many other early childhood intervention services we work hand in hand with research partner RMIT University. We do this to thoroughly evaluate our practices and measure the effectiveness of programs. This proven methodology also translates into the way we structure our training and consultation services.
A major part of giving a child the best possible start in life is giving early childhood professionals hands-on support.
While our day-to-day services meet the individual needs of the child/family we recognise that early childhood professionals play a vital role in supporting the child in their educational environments and everyday schooling experiences and activities.
The team at EPIC are passionate about supporting professionals who want to further promote the participation and inclusion of all children of all abilities. With this in mind we created a variety of workshops to build the capacity of early childhood professionals and support them with using strategies that deliver better outcomes.
The workshops are goal orientated, solution focused, performance based, reflective, collaborative and some of the topics and areas covered include:
As a not-for-profit organisation our workshops and consultation services are priced to cover costs and offer good value for participants.
